Episode 1 After being moved away from bad influences to live in a quiet village, 12-year-old Gil finds his new best mate is the oldest, blackest sheep in his family - his grandad, just released from the asylum, who thinks boys need catapults and stink bombs and sips of beer.
Episode 2 Gil takes his first trip in a car and Grandad finds something to laugh at in the crematorium.
Episode 3 Grandad scares the life out of Gil with his tales of the trenches.
Episode 4 Gil gets his Saturday gobstopper and discovers why parents like Sunday school.
Episode 5 Gil's mysterious and mischievous Grandad reveals a miracle egg and cons the local Conservative Club.
